T Re: The Trench

Beige Trench Coat for SpringRight so Spring is approaching, yes really! While it doesn’t feel like it, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be getting prepared already. Over the next few weeks as things warm up, there’s still likely to be many a day where stepping out in just a T-shirt won’t cut it. For those days, a good Trench has always been my go to.

I’ve had an Olive green one from Zara that I’ve had for years, but this year I thought why not add to the collection and get a nice tan/beige/camel coloured one – I never know what to call this colour (comment if you do).

I bought it a few weeks ago in a size 10 and when it came I couldn’t make up my mind whether I liked the fit or not. It wasn’t until I saw how fitted the one Lydia E Millen wore in one of her vlogs that I bit the bullet and sent it back for a size 8. I’m so glad I did. It’s still a tad loose so there shouldn’t be any trouble wearing long sleeves under it and as you know I love to cinch my waist so the belt on this one actually goes small enough for it to work.

To me a Trench is essential, it’s dressy enough for work days, but you can also get that so well put together Parisian vibe by throwing on a stripe T-shirt, jeans and trainers or in this case black stilleto mules, ha!
