  • Best Knit dresses for fall

It’s autumn and I’m in the mood of refining things here on the blog and also in my wardrobe. Life needs a little cohesion sometimes and it’s great to be clear on exactly what your intentions are, with any venture, but that’s another post! Today, I’m talking about my favourite wardrobe staple for the season ahead- knit dresses of course. If you follow my socials, you’ll know my number one aim in this pregnancy is to steer clear of maternity wear and make purchases that can see me through after bubs is born. I’ve really been drawn to jumper dresses or you could say knit dresses. So, this post is an homage to the staple piece. Enjoy!

Jumper (worn as dress) – H&M | Bag – DKNY |Boots – Dorothy Perkins, old

The roll neck – perfect for those who like me have developed a double chin where there was none before, or for the less vain, to keep your neck warm, ha! They come short and long, but I tend to prefer shorter styles especially since my legs are the only thing that have not morphed in to an unrecognisable blob since being preggo!

Rib knit – Usually a bit more fitted, when made from a decent fabric, they tend to cinch you in. The verticle rib detail also has a sliming effect. I prefer more structured rib knits – see the post I did last year on Good light knits

Cosy and baggy – it is cold after all, so might as well keep warm in something chic. Being pregnant, loose fits have become a wardrobe staple.

A little something extra – knit dresses don’t need to be boring, look out for additional detailing that adds structure or perhaps pick a bold print.
