  • Continuing On + Saying No to Skinny Jeans

Top and Bottom from &OtherStories, last year. Similar top here and here, jeans here and here

It’s been two years since my last blog post, you might even say I’d given up on the whole idea but, sometimes you need a bit of perspective. It’s also taken me a few months to get going with it after making the decision to continue on and that’s the fear. Fear of starting and stopping again, fear that no one will read the blog (they probably won’t for a while, if your reading this now then you are appreciated, ha) and fear of once again putting my thoughts out there. All I know is that I’ve missed this outlet and I love buying and sharing stuff- I certainly benefit from what others post!

Bootleg, Wide, Flare, Mom and Dad jeans

Can we get an amen for the denim versatility at the moment. Every style is in and it’s really just down to your body type. I certainly have nothing against skinny jeans but all the other types are just as fun.

I’ve been looking in to my body type and as I’ve know- I’m an inverted triangle (my shoulders are wider than my hips- think Michael Phelps) so I should try to balance out by adding more drama to the bottom half of my outfit.

I decided to pick up some boot leg jeans at Next and I am loving them. Paired with ankle boots and a few layers on the top half makes for a great autumn outfit. I wore mine with a tan suede jacket, similar here, and some Guess ankle boots- similar. I just love the silhouette. I’ll probably get the long length instead of regular so that it hits the floor in my heels.

    The Weekend

On a final note, it’s the weekend and yesterday was a chilled family day. We took a trip to Smyths Toys with the little one and had a mini toy box refresh. The Cars Lightening McQueen RC Racer was a favourite, particularly for daddy and our two year old is obsessed with dinosaurs. As soon as we walked in the shop he picked up the Light and Sound Dinosaur 3 Pack
