I don’t know about you but when it gets to this time of year I become obsessed with linen fabric. There’s something about this loose material that just looks comfortable but also expensive. I guess it’s because it’s a natural material. Linen is so versatile and can be perfect for most occasions. I’ve recently developed a love affair with linen shirts so I just had to write a post rounding up my top picks from the high street.
Every wardrobe needs a variety of linen shirts for various occasions.The linen shirt is a summer wardrobe staple. Yes, it creases but that just adds to the chic “lived in” effect you get from the fabric. This summer, linen shirts worn as a cover up are really having a moment. It must be all the sunbathing going on in lockdown.
Choose a light weight linen fabric for layering, preferably an oversized one. If you’re out doing a bit of shopping, choose a heavier linen to avoid any transparency issues. You can wear them casually in the garden, tie them at the waist or wear over dresses for a casual evening dinner (when we can do dinner again of course). The possibilities are endless.
