  • October Wishlist

So, it’s October and the remnants of summer are still hanging on. I currently have a love hate relationship with the extra heat at the moment, love- the fact it’s not pissing down with rain, per normal in the UK, hate- I’m far too excited to bulk out my autumn/winter wardrobe. I’m really in to all things chino, knitwear and blazer at the moment. So, I figured why not share some of the bits I’ve been loving and buying recently. As always, you will see how I style up the things I buy on Instagram @lifetrestyle.

Balmain Blazer Dupe, Balmain Style Blazer

I’ve been after a Balmain style blazer for ages, see this post here, and to be honest I still haven’t bought one. The closet thing I can find is this one from M&S, but it’s a polyester and I’m not sure if I should hold out to get a wool one, or just get this to tie me over! Hum, decisions decisions… I do love the gold button detailing and the cut!

    Theory Lanai Blazer

A blazer I did buy though, is this clean cut wool one from a brand called Theory. I bought it on Flannels, my new favourite online shop, and it was a massive bargain (still available, here). This will smarten up my denim and heels outfits, one of my go to looks.

I ended up getting another item from Flannels, separately. It was another huge saving on these Belstaff trousers. I would say they come up slightly small, but have stretch to them. They are a nice firm cotton and almost coated in texture. Just going to have to lay off the Greggs for a few days, ha!

Next, I really like this oversized wool blend blazer from &other stories, I’d cinch it at the waist with a belt, or wear it open with a semi-tucked shirt – the possibilities are endless.

The boots pretty much speak for themselves. I wanted a pair that would be a bit looser on the leg. I find that silhouette more flattering, as it makes my very muscular calves look a bit smaller. These ones are leather and from Mango. They would hopefully be a good long lasting addition to the shoe cupboard.

    Circle studs Maya Magel

Finally, on to Jewellery. I want to buy better quality pieces. I realise I am not big on costume jewellery, I pretty much wear the same earrings everyday so it makes sense to invest in a pieces that will last. I came across Maya Magal and I just love how they have a lot of contrasting metals and offer both gold plated and solid gold pieces. I’m currently eyeing up a pair of round studs, but also loving the square ones, again decisions!

Any-who, let me know if you like any of these items in the comments.
