  • 8 Books for Toddlers

One of the things I’m focusing on this year is reading more books and while I’m yet to hunt down some juicy reads for me, my son (who turned 3 in February), now has enough attention span to get through books with sentences more that 3 words long. Helping him to cultivate a love of books is something very important to me. Over Christmas we decided a big part of his Santa gift list would be a load of books. Here’s some of our favourites. Hopefully they’ll give you some inspo for your little one, particularly if they are dinosaur obsessed.

    Ten Little Dinosaurs

A great one to read with a bit of a sing song voice, Oscar love to join in for the Roooaaarrr!

    The Lion Inside

Next up, the Lion Inside. Well everyone’s scared of something. We can all channel our inner lion’s sometime.

    The Koala Who Could

Now this one is from the same authors and I love how there’s a little lesson to learn in each. In this one a scared Koala needs a little nudge, but then realises leaving your comfort zone isn’t so bad.

The Wonderful Things You Will Be

I think every parent wonders who their child will grow up to be, but as is the sentiment of this book, love is unconditional.

    Never Let a Diplodocus Draw

Perhaps one of my favourites in this list and one for all the Dino artists out there. Well written and super funny!

    Artificial Intelligence for Kids

A great way to introduce your toddler to technology. Lots of new and interesting words to help your little one make sense of the changing world around us. Understanding the difference between artificial and natural things.

    Pop-up Dinosaurs

Adult supervision required, well if you don’t want your child to destroy it! Still a super fun one, particularly at bedtime as it’s short and sweet.

BRRR! Where Did The Dinosaurs Really Go?

A great one for the current cold snap we’re experiencing, definitely feels like the ice age. Maybe I should take up knitting, ha!

I hope you enjoy these books with your toddler. In case you missed it, I’ve affiliate linked the pictures so you can easily click through and purchase on Amazon.

The blog is going under a bit of a change in the weeks and months ahead. I will be posting more lifestyle content including my favourite parenting tips. I’ll still keep a big focus on style content though. I’d love you guys to start getting more engaged so if there’s anything I recommend that you like, let me know in the comments.
