  • Class, Sophistication, Finery

I wanted to get a post up yesterday, but unfortunately my preparation was lacking. It’s easy to start a blog, but the ones that thrive are well planned or at least consistent. I’d like to focus on making a few series going forward. Posts set around the same theme where I can give you guys consistent tips. God knows thinking up a brand new topic for each post isn’t really working.

In case you’ve not been following me and want to know what this blog is about. I make content related to fashion, beauty and lifestyle, hence Life TRE Style – if it wasn’t obvious, I’m the TRE in the equation (my initials). I am on a mission to refine the areas of my life that need it and most people think I’m a bit stoosh anyway so chances are, things might sound a bit extra or fancy. That said, I am increasingly becoming more sustainability minded and my current ethos is to only buy what I love. As a result it’s taken me a minute to figure out what I’m doing on here if I don’t put new clothes in every post.

With the above in mind, I decided to get my nails done. Wow! Ground breaking, I know, ha! Bear with me. A while back, I was of the mindset to do my nails myself, then I thought about how nice it feels to go and get pampered. So I started going to salons again. One week I went to a different place and the guy used this sander thing to take off my shellac and removed God knows how many layers of my actual nails (if this has ever happened to you, comment so I know I’m not alone). Definitely not going there again!

Here I am, about 8 weeks later. My nails have grown out and on Tuesday I went for a mani pedi. Given that I’m based in the City for work, I wanted to find a new local place I could go to get my nails done, either in lunch or after work. I discovered Imarni Nails after a quick google search. What I didn’t expect is for it to be in a nice hotel, The Cutain Road Hotel. Call me boujee or whatever, but this place is a lot of me and I’m sticking to it. Furthermore, if you’re after a quick pick me up, you can get a mini mani and pedi for £35, bargain.

I chose the shade Halo from the Chanel Le Vernis range, tap the blob to get one…

The whole thing pretty much confirmed what I already knew, I like class, sophistication and finery. That sounds like a blog direction to me. So, follow my journey to see how I elevate my life and how you can too. Life isn’t just outfits after all, though that will still be a big part of my content.
