Well I’m ending the year with a beauty review of Rhianna’s Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick which is currently exclusive to Harvey Nichols in the UK. I first saw these on Patricia Brights channel and fell in love instantly. I like the idea of wearing a matte that doesn’t make your lips feel like chipboard. Lipsticks are something I want to play with more in 2018.
I love the dark brown of shade PMS, and props to Rihanna for the unconventional names, but this is definitely “a don’t mess with me today hon type” of shade, so the time of the month connection I completely get.
As for Griselda, this has a more red vibe, the picture doesn’t really do it justice. It’s that perfect winter red for a darker skin tone like myself. It’s not too bright like for going out, more of a day red.
I already have 2 nude lipstick staples, so this time around I wanted to add some darker lipsticks and hence my Fenty Beauty picks. When it comes to nudes I’ve really been loving this one by Urban Decay, the Comfort Matte Range in shade 1993 if you read my blog and follow my insta and I’m wearing lipstick then most likely it’s this one.
I got it to replace my old faithful which is also a nude, this time by MAC’s Satin Lipstick range in shade Spirit.
As it’s the last day of the year, I thought I’d end with one of my main focuses for the next… Blogging of course. Im really enjoying this short journey I’ve been on so far. It’s allowed me to get to know my likes and dislikes better. I’m not going to lie, it’s tough out here – when you post something and think it’s really good, but not a peep comes back from the other side. Yet, I persevere, I’m loving it too much to quit now.
My focus for the new year is to write shorter content along side longer posts, so that I can post more often. I also want to be way more active on my socials.
