Happy new week. It’s Monday and I’m hitting the ground running with this weeks to-do lost. I plan on adding a lovely subscribe button to the blog so you lovelies can receive emails from me with even more style inspo. It’s Summer and we wouldn’t be a style blog if we didn’t talk about summer dresses. It’s time to get out the prints and bold colours to brighten up all our moods. Lord knows it’s been a stressful first half of the year.

Read here for more on my summer wardrobe essentials

    Balloon Sleeve Summer Dresses

Big puffy sleeves are having a real moment, since last summer really. Whether you go for a block colour or a print, balloon sleeves will add drama to any outfit. If, like me, you have broad shoulders, choose a flared hem to add some dimension and balance to your bottom half.

    Bright Colours

When not shine bright like a diamond, it is summer after all. Personally, I like not of a neutral aesthetic, but there is a place in everyone’s wardrobe for a statement colour. Neon has been really on trend for the last few seasons. It’s definitely one way to stand out. If bright colours scare you, go for a simple cut and barely there accessories to tone things down.

    Print Summer Dresses

If bright colours have you running for the hills, why not try print. I often go for summer dresses with a neutral coloured base and a ditsy floral print. Often, the print adds just enough colour so that your entire wardrobe isn’t all monotone. Print is definitely my go to this season when it comes to dresses (aside from my beige life of course)

    Shirt Dresses

Where are all my casual girls? This one is for you. There’s something so chic about a good shirt dress. My preference is always to nip them in at the waist with a nice belt. You can also go over sized and off the shoulder for a more sexy look. Shirt dresses are a classic wardrobe staple, so if you’re in the market for something timeless, then this one is for you.
