How is it May already? Yes, it’s still Spring and here in the UK we’ve seen some really good weather in the past few weeks. I for one have spent a lot of time in the garden. Whilst we’re still in lockdown, I’ve really enjoyed getting dressed up in the house. No, not everyday (we all need a PJs and chill day or two sometimes), but it’s easier to be productive when I get up and dressed for the day.
In the next few weeks as the lockdown restrictions ease and we head from Spring in to Summer, my wardrobe is going to need a refresh. Nothing drastic, after all here in England, there’s not always that much difference between Spring and Summer. In my mind, what we need are a few summer essentials, just a few new key pieces that can help you craft summer outfits from the rest of your wardrobe.
Given that we’re still likely to spend a fair amount of time at home, comfort is also key! Further, if like me you’re increasingly becomes sustainability minded, it’s also important to look for good quality, items that will transition just as well back in to autumn and are even still ready to go next summer.
Below are my top picks and items on my wishlist. I’ve left them purposely simple as the idea is to mix and match with accessories and items from your wardrobe. Personally I love the idea of clean lines and small pops of colour which these items are perfectly suited for.
