Not much has changed following the Prime Minister’s review of lockdown requirements. On the list of clothing items that have somehow lost their prominence in our wardrobes, along with bras, handbags and ties, is shoes. As we all spend more time at home, whether it’s working from home, or if like me you’re off on maternity leave, or worse, you’ve been furloughed- one thing we all need are knock about appropriate summer sandals. Something to take you from the garden to the shops and back.
In this edit, I’ve put together my favourite summer picks. Let me know your favourites in the comments of course. This year it’s all about Birkenstock’s and dad sandals, as you can imagine with vast swathes of the population only venturing to their garden, should they be lucky enough to have one. I’m still partial to a heel and as far as timeless pieces go you can’t beat a good open toe wedge or mule. Speaking of mules, Bottega Veneta has inspired the nation (well those remotely interested in fashion trends) with their horde of square front mules – check out this post for a great dupe Bottega Mule Dupe.
