Wow it’s a new decade and as I like to talk a lot about on my blog, it’s a chance for a fresh start. I’ve spent the festive break reflecting on 2019, what went well and what can I do better. I haven’t set any New Year resolutions, but I have be hard at work planning my 2020 goals and how I’m going to achieve them.
This year, there are some big unknowns- namely the fact that I am pregnant and due to give birth at some point this quarter. I know, the mention of ‘quarter’ makes me sound quite clinical, but honestly, I think it’s the best way to plan. You set your yearly goals and then break them down in to quarters so you can develop monthly action plans, or steps toward the achievement. That said, you can’t always plan everything and as I said in a recent post, you have to leave a little space for the universe to do its thing.
Anyway, I am a blogger, my main focus has always been style with a healthy dose of mindset management. In 2019, I really fell off the promotion of my blog, I’ve been so caught up in the game that is Instagram. I’ve lost sight of why I started all this in the first place. My main aim is to improve and refine my life- the internet is supposed to create a sense of accountability, but I also hope to inspire others to embark on similar journeys. So, in 2020, whilst I’m on maternity leave- I’m hoping to focus on this (Lord please give me a calm baby!).
I realise now that it’s the daily routines you set yourself that shape whether you achieve what you want. If you’ve read my blog for a while you’ll know I’m no stranger to planning tools. This year I’m trying an A5 Filofax and I won’t review it now as I’ve just started, but I need a way to organise all the things I have planned and only focus on key action points each day.
For 2020, my main focus (aside from my family and new arrival)
- Consistent blog posts
- Honing my personal style and beauty routines – the things I’m loving
- Sharing my lifestyle more consistently on Instagram and stories
- Goals relating to our removal company
- Financial goals
- Home improvements
So there, I’ve laid it out. You now know what to expect from my content. I probably won’t share much on points 4 & 5 but the rest will form the basis of my content!
