  • 5 New Years Eve Outfit Ideas that also work if you’re pregnant

We are fast approaching the end of the year and whilst I plan to stay very local this New Year. I’m sure there’s lots of you with baby bumps like me and far more with no bump at all, who are thinking, what should I wear for that New Year’s Eve party or that special function. Here’s a few ideas to getting you in the mood for auld Lang syne.

    The Velvet

Such a luxury fabric! I imagine the waistband of this particular number would sit well over many a baby bump. That said, it could just as easily snatch the waist of the smart people who have chosen not to enter maternity madness. Pair with a headband and some cute court shoes.

    The Fit and Flare

It’s all in the name really. For the pregnant I’d even try it without the waist belt. Bigger bumps will create such a lovely silhouette. Also, after pregnancy this will be perfect if you’re looking for comfort and not quite back to your regular size.

    The Wrap Dress

Hides a multitude of sins on most body types. I’m loving this animal print version. Definitely a wardrobe staple you can come back to time and again.

    The Empire Waist

Again, really flattering for most people. I love the look of this dress as the v-neck would help accentuate the décolletage and it flares out creating a loose free and easy vibe. If your not pregnant, I’d pair it with a skinny gold belt and strapy sandals or perhaps some knee high boots to be on trend for this season.

    The Metallics

It’s New Year, if it’s not appropriate to shine like a glittery ball now then it never is. This bodycon number is perfect to show off the female form. Good shapewear may be necessary, if you’re pregnant wear a good vest or slip underneath, just to smooth the fit a bit.
