So I’ve decided to rename this series to Blog Week. I’ve been inspired by Jamie Genevieve’s Vlog Weeks and it is less of a mouthful than saying Weekly Roundup. This week has been fairly sedate. I’ve struggled with energy and have not managed to make it in to the office at my preferred 8am.

    The week in workwear

Work is always full on so I won’t bother rehashing about that, but I have enjoyed the outfits I put together for work days. Starting with this green skirt and beige polo neck combo. I’ve paired this skirt with a more fitted short sleeve top and court shoes as you would have seen in this post here, but this time given that Spring hasn’t wanted to come out of hibernation I went for long sleeves and ankle boots. For me it definitely works.

As for this polka dot blouse. I bought it from Zara toward the end of last summer. I fully intend to make use of it this season. It gives me reformation vibes and as much as I love that shop I need to work up to the £200 for one top price bracket, ha! It is a little cropped so to make it work appropriate I wore some height waisted wide leg culottes that I bought recently. I love this outfit and actually got compliments on Thursday when I wore it.

    Scarfes

On Tuesday I met up with one of my good friends and we visited Scarfes in Holborn. I would really recommend this place as an after work drink spot. It is luxury, super elegant and has the drink price to match, but sometimes you have to live a little.

Scarfes is actually the hotel bar attached to the Rosewood Hotel in London. It’s a 5 star hotel so as you can imagine the bar is designed for the expected clientele. In the end for me it was upper class without being uppity and I felt comfortable chatting the evening away with my friend over a bottle of white wine.

    National Pet Day

Tuesday was the day and it’s pretty self explanatory so here’s my fur babies… Oreo and Ebony. No prizes for guessing which is which, ha!

I’m hopeful nah to explore video a bit more and while I don’t think I’m quite ready for vlogs I’d like to make more use of Instagram stories.
