  • Life update & Outfit Ideas

Wow, how is it December already. The months have totally flow by and I feel the need to start documenting all my outfit ideas and the DIY madness going on in my house. What’s been going on in general. I’m currently 28 weeks pregnant and it’s been all hands on deck get everything ready for the baby. Whilst it’s all very exciting I’m looking forward to finalising some of the areas in the coming weeks.

    In the House

The Nursery – so the floor is down and the walls are painted and as of the weekend, all the big bits of baby furniture are on order. I also managed to nab a cute Sofa bed from Ikea and a rocking chair from Aldi of all places. I also really love the curtains, and whilst it doesn’t look like it at the moment, we’re going for a safari vibe in here.

Passage – you’d have seen on my IG stories that we added a few bits of furniture to the passage. I love this royal blue ottoman and gentleman’s wardrobe, which I use to store linen. We also added a few wall prints from Desenio.

Next up is my dressing room and all I have to do is convince MR to paint it before Christmas. That said, the new wardrobes have already been bought and given the size of them, that’s another mammoth task for him to do.

So there’s lots going on and I haven’t even mentioned all of it. Lots of finishing touches to make and it’s bout 3 months until bubs arrives, yikes!

I thought I’d start a little feature of highlighting my most recent blog posts here so you can catch up. As always, feedback, comments and questions welcome and don’t forget to subscribe.

    Style

Given that Instagram and Facebook are already under threat (if you haven’t heard of Tiktok, then where have you been). I really want to use my site to curate more of my looks and provide outfit ideas. Would love to know if you like anything featured and I’ll try to link what I can on my 21buttons, which I have just decided to start using again 🙂

I’ve really been in to long skirts and jumpers, longline blazers with trousers and all black outfits. I can only imagine that styling is going to get even more complicated over the next few months as my waistline expands. It’s all worth it of course but my biggest aim is always to leave granny status clothes for retirement (probably not even then)!

    Plan for December

We’ve rolled right in to December now and Christmas vibes have been making an appearance since before Halloween. Hopefully you’ve all got your advent calendars out as the festive period is now well and truly in effect and no, I have not put up my Christmas tree yet! I need to get on to that pronto.

December, for me, is definitely a time for reflection and planning. Over the next few weeks I plan to assess my year and plan the changes I want to make in he year ahead. This is a fairly daunting task as I’ll have a baby son and I have no idea what to expect. That said, it’s important to create a new normal and find a routine that works for our family. I’m a firm believer that babies don’t need to take over your life, all it takes is the right amount of planning and execution- just like everything else. Yes, I can hear all the parents out there laughing at my wild assumption, but I’ve always been one to learn things my own way.
